INFORMED by a nearby water tower at the former Spaklerweg gasworks, the tower is similarly composed with a base, shaft and tank arrangement.
I used this 3 layered approach to construct the design, with a contrasting heavy-light-heavy massing.
The first floor contains public commercial facilities, levels 1-19 signgle story apartments and levels 20-25 luxurious duplexes that all maximise the location’s aspect.
While the core is transparent for visible circulation space and to further emphasise the structure’s vertical rhythm.
