Columns are mapped over existing Venetian islands and point skyward to reference travel, Marco Polo’s explorations and the world at whole.
Echoing both the foundations the city was built on and the masts of merchant ships on which the city was financed.
Restoring the original landscape first settlers would have experienced, while highlighting the relation between mankind, nature and the passing of time.
